Description
The Warsaw Zoo, officially called the City Zoological Garden in Warsaw, was established in 1928. It is located in the heart of the capital, on the right bank of the Vistula River. Covering an area of about 40 hectares, the zoo is home to over 12,000 animals representing around 500 species. Visitors can see both exotic and native animals and participate in educational and conservation programs. Highlights include the elephant house, the reptile house, and the aquarium. The Warsaw Zoo is actively involved in saving endangered species and cooperates with other zoos around the world. It is a perfect destination for family outings, offering both learning and entertainment. The zoo also holds historical significance for its role during World War II.
